Marie Schieder and Melanie Paul Claim German Beach Tour Title in Munich

Marie Schieder and Melanie Paul claimed their first German Beach Tour title together on Sunday, winning the stop in Munich. The duo defeated Sandra Ferger and Tine Aulenbrock in the final, 2-0 (21-12, 21-17).

Schieder and Paul have been playing together since the beginning of the year, and they have been steadily improving. They reached the semifinals of the FIVB World Tour Future tournament in Lille, France, in June, and they were seeded second in Munich.

In the final, Schieder and Paul were in control from the start. They jumped out to a 10-3 lead in the first set, and they never looked back. They won the set 21-12.
