On Friday, the 27 EU countries are slated to have an energy-focused meeting after their non-EU counterparts depart. The meeting is expected to address the energy crisis enveloping the Continent.
Ukrainian officials are maintaining largely an operational silence on the counteroffensive against Russia, but President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his nightly television address on Thursday that he is “in constant communication with our military” .
